If you’ve decided Salt and Light Academy is the right fit for your family, here’s how to take the next step:
Complete the Application
Submit our online application, including the $150 nonrefundable application fee.
Please note that Salt and Light Academy does not offer specialized academic services (e.g., speech therapy or occupational therapy) beyond our general education setting.
We plan to accept a maximum of 30 students (ages 4–8) for our first year.
Required Documents
Birth Certificate or other proof of age
Recent School/Daycare Reports (if applicable)
Parent-Student Interview(If Needed)
We may request a 30-minute interview, depending on the level of interaction we’ve already had through info sessions.
This is an opportunity for us to get to know your family’s values and for you to ask any lingering questions.
Admissions Review
We’ll review your application, documents, and interview notes.
You can expect a decision within two weeks of your interview or final review.
Enrollment & Tuition
Upon acceptance, we’ll send the enrollment agreement (student parent handbook) to sign, along with payment details.

At Salt and Light Academy, we are committed to providing a high-quality, Christ-centered education while keeping costs as affordable as possible. While we are still finalizing the details, our aim is to provide a clear and manageable structure to help families plan for this important investment in their child’s future.
Tuition and Fee Breakdown:
Annual Tuition: $7,000
Application Fee: $150 (non-refundable, due at the time of application)
Curriculum and Book Fee: $350 (due upfront upon admission acceptance/registration)
Tuition Deposit: To secure your child’s spot, $500 of the tuition must be paid at the time of admission acceptance/registration.
Important: Registration will not be processed without these payments.
Discounts:
Upfront Payment Discount: Receive a $200 discount on tuition if the full payment is made upfront.
Sibling Discount: Receive an additional $200 discount for each additional child enrolled.

1. Pay in Full
Upfront Discount: If you pay the full remaining tuition at once, you’ll receive a $200 discount on tuition.
Payment Due: By July 1, 2025.
Total Owed Upfront:
Tuition ($7,000) - Deposit ($500) - Upfront Discount ($200) = $6,300
Plus $350 curriculum/book fee is already paid at acceptance.
Effective Total: $6,300 (after deposit & discount)
2. Quarterly (4 Payments)
Remaining Tuition: $7,000 - $500 deposit = $6,500
4 Equal Payments: $1,625 each
Payment Schedule:
1st payment: July 1, 2025
2nd payment: October 1, 2025
3rd payment: January 1, 2026
4th payment: April 1, 2026
3. Monthly (12-Month Plan)
Remaining Tuition: $7,000 - $500 deposit = $6,500
12 Equal Payments: $6,500 / 12 ≈ $541.67 per month
Payment Schedule: Monthly, spread over the entire calendar year with the first payment due May 1, 2025.
4. Monthly (10-Month Plan)
Remaining Tuition: $7,000 - $500 deposit = $6,500
10 Equal Payments: $650 per month
Payment Schedule: Monthly, with first payment due July 1, 2025.

For our inaugural year, we’re planning the following schedule:
School Days: Monday – Friday
Hours: 8:15 AM – 2:45 PM
First Day of School: August 18
Last Day of School: May 15

Education: I earned my bachelor's in education from Midwestern State University and my master's in education from Southeastern State University. Over the past eight years, I’ve been passionate about teaching, with my most recent role as a gifted and talented specialist. I’m thrilled to bring my experience into this new role and can’t wait to connect with amazing students and families on this exciting journey!
About Me: I got married in April and my husband and I are thrilled to be expecting our first baby—a sweet girl—in March! I love spending time outdoors, getting my hands dirty in nature, and soaking in the beauty of God’s creation. I’m so excited about this new chapter and all the wonderful opportunities and adventures it will bring!
Mrs. Freeth
Education: With 15 years of teaching experience, I hold a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and a Master's degree in Special Education and the Education of Reading and Literacy. Currently serving as a specialist in gifted and talented education, I am passionate about fostering hands-on learning experiences. I am thrilled to bring my expertise and love for teaching reading to the young minds at Salt and Light Academy, inspiring a lifelong love of learning and discovery.
About Me: Originally from California, my family and I have happily called Texas home for the past five years. I’m married to my wonderful husband, Jeff, and we have two amazing kids, Penny and Teddy. Penny will be joining Salt and Light Academy as a first grader! I’m excited to be part of this incredible community and look forward to building meaningful connections with everyone here!
