Empowering Hearts, Equipping Minds, Embracing Christ

Something is broken in education and parents know it. Children weren’t made to sit still, be quiet, and conform. At Salt and Light Academy, we are building a school set apart: rooted in biblical truth, grounded in traditional values, and alive with real-world, hands-on learning. Our days flow between indoor class time and outdoor discovery, where books, barns, and gardens work together to create deep, lasting learning. We exist to raise a generation of children who are free, faithful, and equipped for both life and eternity. Children who will go out into the world as salt and light.

Why Salt and Light

Salt and Light Academy was born out of a conviction that something is broken in education. Too many children are told to sit still, be quiet, and conform, while parents watch their child's light slowly dim. Children deserve freedom, movement, fresh air, and truth — an education that doesn't separate knowledge from faith.

Here, students split their time between indoor instruction and outdoor discovery, engaging both mind and body. From barns to gardens to books, every part of our school is designed to nurture the whole child — spiritually, academically, and emotionally

Academics & Curriculum

Our curriculum is rooted in a biblical worldview across every subject — math, science, language arts, and social studies — using The Good and the Beautiful, chosen for how seamlessly it weaves faith, character, and rigorous academics together. Students grow not only in knowledge, but in wisdom and virtue.

Every day also includes time for prayer, reflection, and conversations about faith — spiritual formation woven into the rhythm of the school day, not set apart from it.
